Terms of Service
At a glance
- DrawTown is a game where you create a village with friends and decorate it with daily drawings. Anyone aged 14 or older can use it with a Google or Apple account.
- You own the rights to your drawings, photos, and writing. The Operator uses them only to the extent needed to run the Service.
- Acorns are free currency earned through play. Diamonds can be earned for free or purchased through a Store. Neither can be exchanged for cash, and both disappear when you delete your account.
- If you harass other residents or post inappropriate drawings, reports may lead to restrictions on your use of the Service.

Article 3 (Effect and changes to these Terms)
- These Terms are posted in the app's Settings screen and on the website (drawtown.app/en/terms). By signing in to and using the Service, you are deemed to agree to these Terms.
- The Operator may amend these Terms within the bounds of applicable law. Changes will be announced in the app or on the page above at least 7 days before taking effect, or at least 30 days before taking effect for material changes or changes unfavorable to users.
- Continuing to use the Service after amended Terms take effect is deemed acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree, you may stop using the Service and delete your account under Article 14.
- Matters not covered by these Terms are governed by applicable laws, including the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, the Content Industry Promotion Act, and the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, and by customary commercial practices.
Article 4 (Accounts)
- Only people aged 14 or older may use the Service. The Operator may delete an account if its user is found to be under 14.
- Accounts can only be created through Google or Apple sign-in. The Operator does not collect a separate password. You are responsible for the security of your social account, and all use through that account is treated as your own activity.
- Only you may use your account. You may not lend or sell it to another person.
- If you connect to a village on multiple devices with the same account at the same time, the most recently connected device takes priority, and the previous device's real-time connection may be disconnected.
- Your nickname and face drawing are visible to other residents. Nicknames or faces that impersonate others or cause offense may be restricted under Article 13.
Article 5 (Service features)
The Operator provides the following features. Details may be added or changed as the Service develops.
- Creating, inviting people to, and joining villages: real-time spaces where characters can move around, sit, and talk
- Today's Drawing: daily rounds of drawing to a prompt and exchanging likes
- Decorating villages with drawings and structures, village fundraising and expansion, and exhibitions
- Posting photos and doodles, chat, letters and gifts, quests, and attendance rewards
- Acorn and Diamond currencies, the shop and wardrobe (decorative items), and rewarded ads
- Push notifications and support for multiple languages (Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese)
The Service is generally available 24 hours a day, but may be temporarily interrupted for scheduled maintenance, emergencies, or circumstances affecting external services (Stores, sign-in providers, or cloud infrastructure).
Article 6 (Changes and discontinuation of the Service)
- The Operator may change or discontinue all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons. Changes unfavorable to users or discontinuation of the Service will be announced in the app 30 days in advance.
- The Operator may set a minimum supported version and restrict use of older app versions. In this case, the app displays an update notice.
- If the Service is discontinued, purchased but unused Diamonds will be refunded under applicable law and Store policies. Currency earned for free and content will expire without separate compensation.
Article 7 (Villages and hosts)
- A village is a shared space for all its residents. Placement, construction, and fundraising records created by residents belong to the village. Shared village records (structures, fundraising progress, unlocked plots, and so on) remain even when a resident leaves the village or deletes their account.
- The host can manage invite codes, remove residents, transfer the host role, set village background music, and use other village management features. These permissions must be used to help residents enjoy the village. Using them to harass a particular resident is subject to Article 13.
- A host cannot leave while other residents remain and must first transfer the role to another resident. When the last resident leaves, the village and its data are deleted.
- Anyone who knows an invite code can join the village. Users who share invite codes are responsible for sharing them and for the resulting consequences.
- Removed residents can no longer access content they created in that village. Drawings, structures, and other village content remain or are removed according to the village's rules.
Article 8 (User content)
- Users retain copyright in the content they create.
- You grant the Operator a free, non-exclusive license to store, reproduce, transmit, resize, and display your content to residents of the same village, and to export it through sharing features you choose (such as drawing share cards), to the extent needed to provide, operate, and improve the Service. This license ends when the content is deleted or you delete your account. This does not extend to copies already saved or shared by other users or copies that must be retained by law.
- The Operator does not use your content for advertising or promotion. Separate consent will be obtained before doing so.
- You must hold the necessary rights to content you upload. You are responsible for issues arising from uploading others' works, photographs, or likenesses without permission.
- Photos are shown in the village until midnight on the day they are posted (in the village's time zone), and are not displayed after that. You may delete your own photos, comments, and doodles at any time.
- The Operator may hide or delete content when deemed necessary under law, these Terms, or reports, and will inform you where possible.
Article 9 (Prohibited conduct)
Users must not engage in the following conduct.
- Posting obscene, violent, hateful, or discriminatory expressions, or content that defames, threatens, or harasses others
- Posting or disclosing another person's personal information (real name, contact details, photos, and so on) without consent
- Impersonating another person or the Operator
- Posting content that infringes others' copyright, likeness rights, or other rights
- Promoting advertising, spam, gambling, illegal transactions, or other matters unrelated to the Service's purpose
- Exploiting errors or vulnerabilities in the Service or currency system, or using automation tools, modified apps, or abnormal server requests to obtain currency or harm other residents
- Trading currency, accounts, or villages for cash or other financial benefits
- Reverse engineering or copying the Service, or interfering with its operation
- Repeatedly filing false reports
- Other conduct contrary to law, public order, or accepted morals
Article 10 (Currency — Acorns and Diamonds)
- Acorns are earned for free through Today's Drawing participation, likes, quests, rewarded ads, events, and other activities. They cannot be purchased with money.
- Diamonds are earned for free through attendance, quests, events, and other activities, or purchased through a Store. Purchased Diamonds and free Diamonds are combined into a single balance.
- Currency can only be used within the Service and cannot be exchanged for cash or other financial benefits or transferred to other users. The exception is buying items and sending them to other residents through the Service's letter gift feature.
- Items purchased or unlocked with currency (decorations, structures, village plots, pen colors, and so on) belong to the account or village and cannot be resold.
- The Operator may reclaim currency or items obtained through errors or improper methods and may deduct the equivalent amount if they have already been used.
- The Operator may adjust how currency is earned, its amounts, prices, or uses with advance notice. The quantity of currency already held will not be changed to users' disadvantage.
- Deleting an account causes all currency and items, whether paid or free, to expire irreversibly. Refunds for unused purchased Diamonds before account deletion are governed by Article 11.
Article 11 (Payments and withdrawal from purchases)
- Diamond purchases are made through Store in-app purchases. Payment methods, receipts, and billing follow the Store's terms and procedures. The Operator does not receive payment method details.
- Prices are displayed inclusive of VAT on the app's purchase screen. The displayed currency and amount may differ by Store and country.
- Diamonds are credited after the Store confirms payment and the server completes verification. If delivery is delayed by network conditions, the app displays “Arriving soon.” If Diamonds have not arrived within 24 hours of payment, please contact us with your Store receipt.
- Withdrawal from a purchase: Purchased Diamonds are digital content credited to your account and available for use immediately upon payment. Under Article 17(2) of the Act on the Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, your right to withdraw is restricted if any of the credited Diamonds have been used. You may request withdrawal within 7 days of payment if none have been used.
- Refunds follow the process of the Store where payment was made. On iOS, use Apple's “Report a Problem” (reportaproblem.apple.com); on Android, use Google Play's refund request process. When the Store issues a refund, the corresponding Diamonds are deducted from your account. If your balance is insufficient, use of the Service may be restricted.
- Diamonds and Acorns earned for free, event bonuses, and items already purchased with Diamonds are not refundable.
- If a minor makes a payment without their legal representative's consent, the legal representative may cancel it under applicable law. Cancellation may be restricted if the minor pretended to be an adult or led others to believe that the legal representative had consented.
- Please send payment inquiries to drawtown.team@gmail.com. We will respond within 3 business days of receipt.
Article 12 (Advertising)
- The Service includes rewarded ads that users choose to watch. Completing an ad earns the reward displayed on screen, such as Acorns or pen colors. Closing an ad early does not earn a reward.
- Ads are provided by an advertising network and may fail to load or be interrupted. In that case, no reward is issued, and you may try again.
- The Operator is not responsible for ad content or advertisers' services. Advertising-related personal information is handled under Section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
Article 13 (Reports and restrictions on use)
- Users can report drawings, photos, comments, chats, and residents in the app. A copy of the content at the time of the report is stored with the report.
- After reviewing a report and whether Article 9 has been violated, the Operator may hide or delete content, issue a warning, suspend use temporarily, or permanently suspend use (delete the account). Clear and serious violations may result in suspension without warning.
- Users subject to action may appeal to drawtown.team@gmail.com. The Operator will communicate the review outcome within 10 days of receipt.
- During a suspension, currency, including purchased Diamonds, is retained but cannot be used. With permanent suspension, currency expires, and no refund is given if the violation is the user's responsibility.
- Removal by a host is village management and differs from restrictions imposed by the Operator. Hosts decide whom to remove, and removed residents may create or join other villages.
Child safety standards
Published September 17, 2026. These standards describe how the DrawTown team handles child safety under Articles 9 and 13 for DrawTown: Build with Friends (DrawTown).
- Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). DrawTown prohibits content or conduct that sexually abuses, exploits, or endangers anyone under 18, including grooming, sexual solicitation, sexual extortion, and child sex trafficking. Creating, uploading, requesting, possessing for distribution, or sharing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) is prohibited, including through drawings, photos, chats, letters, profiles, or links.
- Reporting. Use the in-app Report action on content or a resident to report a child safety concern. If there is no report action for the affected content, contact drawtown.team@gmail.com. Provide the nickname, village, time, and a description so we can locate the issue. Do not download, copy, or send suspected CSAM as an attachment.
- Response. The Operator reviews child safety reports, promptly removes or restricts access to confirmed CSAM and other violating content, and takes appropriate account action under Article 13, including suspension or termination. Records needed for lawful investigation are handled securely under applicable law and the Privacy Policy.
- Reporting to authorities. DrawTown complies with applicable child safety laws and reports identified CSAM to the appropriate regional or national authorities in accordance with those laws. We cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities. If a child is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
- Child safety contact. The DrawTown team receives child safety reports and questions about these standards at drawtown.team@gmail.com. Use “Child safety” in the subject line.
Article 14 (Termination — account deletion)
- You may leave the Service at any time through Settings → Delete Account. You must first leave all villages you have joined (hosts must transfer their role first). Shared records remain in the villages you leave under Article 7.
- Deleting your account immediately and irreversibly deletes the account, profile, personal content such as drawings, photos, chats, and letters, currency, and items. Other devices are also signed out. Cleanup of files remaining in storage follows Section 8 of the Privacy Policy.
- Payment records and other information that must be retained by law are kept for the periods stated in the Privacy Policy.
- The Operator may terminate the agreement under Article 13 if a user seriously violates Article 9.
Article 15 (Intellectual property)
- Rights in the Service itself and its characters, art assets (structures, decorative items, backgrounds, and icons), music, text, and software belong to the Operator or their rightful owners.
- You may use these assets only for the purpose of using the Service, and may not reproduce, distribute, create derivative works from, or commercially use them without the Operator's permission. Exporting through sharing features provided by the Service, such as drawing share cards, is permitted.
- The Operator may use suggestions and feedback you send about the Service to improve it without compensation.
Article 16 (Limitation of liability)
- The Operator is not liable for failure to provide the Service due to circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters, communications failures, or outages of external services including Stores, sign-in providers, or cloud infrastructure.
- Real-time features (character movement, chat, and so on) may be delayed or interrupted depending on network conditions. The app displays this status and automatically attempts to reconnect.
- Disputes between users over content, chats, or village management should generally be resolved by the parties involved. The Operator may take action under Article 13 in response to reports but has no obligation to intervene in disputes.
- Users are responsible for the content they upload and for resulting harm to other users or third parties.
- The Operator is not liable for a user's failure to obtain expected benefits from the Service or for damages arising from information obtained while using it.
- The Operator is liable under applicable law for harm caused to users by its intentional misconduct or gross negligence. This provision does not restrict users' rights under consumer protection laws.
Article 17 (Notices)
- The Operator may notify users through in-app notices, pop-ups, push notifications, or the email address used to sign in. Notices to all users may be made through in-app announcements.
- You may contact the Operator through Settings → Support in the app or at drawtown.team@gmail.com.
Article 18 (Governing law and dispute resolution)
- These Terms and use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
- Disputes between the Operator and users relating to the Service will first be addressed through good-faith discussion. If no agreement is reached, a lawsuit may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act.
- Users may use dispute mediation procedures offered by relevant institutions, including the Korea Consumer Agency and the Content Dispute Resolution Committee.
